Zubeen Garg, a versatile singer and composer, began his Bollywood career in 1995 with albums like Chandni Raat. He gained nationwide fame with hits like “Ya Ali” from Gangster. Over his career, he sang numerous Hindi songs, blending romantic ballads and energetic tracks.

Renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg passed away at age 52 after a tragic scuba diving accident in Singapore on September 18, 2025. He was in Singapore to perform at the North East India Festival. Despite efforts to save him, he was declared dead at the hospital. Zubeen was widely celebrated for his versatile singing career across Assamese, Hindi, Bengali and several other languages.
