In an interview with the Humans of Bombay, Mahesh Bhatt talked about Alia Bhatt’s daughter, Raha Kapoor, having her own space—a separate vanity van—on the sets. The filmmaker shared that his actress-daughter got married to Ranbir Kapoor, her movies got bigger, and then she had a child, and yet she decided to continue working in films.Mahesh Bhatt shared that the actress went to Milan for a high profile fashion event, with Raha accompanying her mother. The veteran director then shared that he, along with Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt, shot for a commercial recently. He added, “I saw that there was a vanity for Raha. And Alia said, ‘Why don’t you go and sit in Raha’s room, Papa?’ I didn’t want to contaminate it. It felt like a nursery school. It almost looked like a temple.”The ‘Saaransh’ director recalled rejecting her offer and saying that the old man has no place there.Mahesh Bhatt concluded, saying, “But that’s the new-age heroines. They work, they parent, they attend Gucci events while carrying their babies with them.”
