FIR against Pawan Kalyan fans; 'OG' screening celebration halted; Stage, DJ dismantled in Bengaluru

Fans of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan faced a setback during a special screening of his latest film ‘OG’ in Bengaluru.Reportedly, the Bangalore Pawan Kalyan Fans Association had arranged a stage and DJ setup outside Sandhya Theatre in Madiwala to celebrate the film’s early release of the most awaited PK starrer action flick.

According to the sources, however, the celebrations were stopped after police received a tip-off, citing lack of permission for the public event. The Madivala Police dismantled the stage. They also seized loudspeakers to prevent any disruption.

FIR lodged against organisers

The Madivala Police registered an FIR against the organisers of the event after the incident. Authorities said that the fans had failed to obtain prior approval from city officials before setting up the celebration.As told by a police officer to PTI, when they received the informations, they immediately reached the spot and seized the loudspeakers on Wednesday and also asked the organisers to dismantle the stage. The move was taken to maintain law and order, especially during large public gatherings.

PK fans tears screens in Bengaluru

During the release day, the celebrations inside the theatre went wild in Bengaluru. A fan caused a major issue as he was spotted tearing the screen with a knife during the early screening of ‘OG’. The show was later stopped as it had caused much damage to the screen. Also in Karnataka, several fans gathered in the streets to celebrate with DJ performances and also fireworks. A footage went viral on social media, where a group of protesters can be seen entering the festival venue and disabling the sound systems and breaking camera tripods and DJ equipment.Meanwhile, amid all these issues, ‘OG’ has opened on a magnificent note at the box office. As reported by the Sacnilk website, the Pawan Kalyan starrer has crossed Rs 90 crores on day 1 at the box office.
