Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda faced a brutal road accident and has been hospitalised in Mohali at a private hospital after sustaining injuries to his head and spine. While the 35-year-old has been positively recovering, many rumours about his health deteriorating have circulated on social media, leading to false statements. As many Punjabi artists prayed for his health, they requested that such posts not be shared.
Punjabi artists request not to spread fake news
Kanwar Grewal, the folk artist, posted a video on Instagram from the Fortis Hospital, asking fans not to post false and negative rumors on social media. Greeting the viewers, he claimed doctors have been proficiently treating Rajveer Jawanda, and he has been recovering as well, in the clip. Furthermore, he highlighted that there have been many messages trending on social media with the hashtag ‘RIP’; however, the singer is fighting for his life. Joining his hands, he asked not to post such speculations and falsified news.Fellow singer, Amrit Maan, penned a note on Instagram, requesting everyone to pray for Jawanda’s strength, as well as asking not to post fake news about someone’s life. Proclaiming that prayers have power, Maan asked his followers to pray that he gets well soon and joins his family. He concluded his note by asking god to bless him.Sharing a positive update about Jawanda, the musical group Desi Crew shared that doctors have signalled the artist is healthy since the unfortunate accident. Joining the aforementioned singers, the group asked not to share unverified news as well, in addition to praying for his recovery.
