When Nag Ashwin set out to tell the story of Kalki 2898 AD he had out together a very strong team of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan with guest apperances by Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salmaan and SS Rajamouli. The film went to become the biggest hit of the eyar by minting more than Rs 600 crore at the box office. With the success of the film, the expectation were sky high for its sequel. But as per reports coming in Deepika Padukone would not be part of the film. The makers taking to Twitter announced their decision to part ways. They wrote, “ This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, We have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works.”Few months ago Deepika has put down few requests with Sandeep Reddy Vanga who wanted to cast her for Spirit opposite Prabhas. Her conditions were about fixed working hours to her shooting only in Hindi and asking for stake in profits of the film which led to breakdown in talks. She then went on to sign Atlee’s upcoming film with Allu Arjun, the film has been untitled as of now. But the film has already gone on floors and has already comeplted the first schdule.
