Shah Rukh Khan recalls how his mother Lateef Fatima Khan was unlike him
Aryan Khan’s show, *The Ba***ds of Bollywood*, features a poignant scene mirroring Shah Rukh Khan’s early career. Lakshya’s character, Aasman Singh, dedicates his Best Actor award to his deceased father, echoing SRK’s 1992 tribute to his mother. The recreation deeply resonated with audiences, highlighting the emotional connection between father and son, both on and off-screen.

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan’s show The Ba***ds of Bollywood dropped on the streaming platform, the audiences can’t get enough of how the son has paid a tribute to his father. One of the most exciting moments for the fan was the moment where Lakshya who plays the character of Aasman Singh- a rank outsider wins the Best Actor’s award and how he remembers his deceased father. It was an exact recreation of Shah Rukh’s life, back in 1992 when SRK won first award he also remembered his mother who had recently passed away.From the stage SRK said , “ The first time I am getting a major award in the film industry and she’s not here. This one’s for you Ma.” Lakshya’s dialogues are also on the same lines. Talking about the incident in his conversation with Simi Garewal years later, the actor opened up about what he was feeling at that time. He stated , “ I want my mother to see me, 70 mms, a lot bigger than what I am.”Talking about his speech he added, “ At that point I was remembering my mother too much. Whatever I remember of her, is that she was unlike me.” In the same interview Shah Rukh had shared that he was in Goa when his mother’s health deteriorated. She was already suffering from diabetes and she accidently hurt her foot, the infection spread leading to septicemia. He also recalled that he prayed about 6000 times on advice of someone when his mother was admitted to ICU. King Khan will be next seen in Siddharth Anand’s King where he will be sharing screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan for the first time. He will be joined in the film by a host of actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji and many more. He is currently shooting in Poland and will be back soon to get his National Award for jawan.
