The Madras High Court has postponed the income tax case filed by actor Vijay and adjourned the next hearing to October 10. The case filed by Vijay seeking to quash the order imposing a fine of Rs. 1.50 crore for concealing income was heard again before Judge C. Saravanan.According to The Hindu Tamil, Thalapathy Vijay‘s side argued that the legal deadline for imposing the penalty was June 30, 2019. But the Income Tax Department had issued a belated order on June 30, 2022. Therefore, the order was invalid and should be quashed.
