The mystery surrounding the tragic death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas has taken a chilling turn after new video footage alleges she was seen alive at the singer’s gig in August. The new videos going viral online show a woman with a strikingly similar resemblance to Celeste, attending a D4vd concert just two weeks before her dismembered body was discovered in the trunk of the singer’s abandoned car.

The videos filmed during D4vd’s August 23–24 performance in Silver Spring, Maryland, have been going viral online with many claiming that the woman standing at the balcony was the victim. In videos shared by people at the concert, a young girl wirth curly hair, in a black tube top and leggings. According to reports and viral social media buzz, the teen’s body was found dismembered, in a state of decomposition, dressed in a tube top and black leggings.

However, it must be noted that there is no confirmation if the girl in the videos is actually Celeste or if this was the outfit she was found deceased in. Online sleuths have flooded social media with videos that at one point, sees D4vd waving to the girl on the balcony and even making a heart sign while singing one of his tracks.

Timeline of Celeste’s death

If confirmed to be her, netizens could have helped police and investigators narrow down the timeline of Celeste’s final days before she was killed. Owing to the severe decomposition of her body, police were reportedly unable to determine the time of her death. Police have confirmed that Rivas was identified by dental records, but have yet to determine her cause of death. Police records also state that D4vd’s car, was abandoned near his Hollywood Hills residence and towed away on September 5. It was only 3 days later, on September 8, that employees at a he towing yard called in the police over complaints of a foul odour coming from the vehicle.

Netizens help spot Celeste in old D4vd posts

Prior to this, netizens helped identify that the woman seen in D4vd’s videos was Celeste. Several social media users even dug up past comments, posts and photos of the two together, fuelling speculation about the nature of their relationship. Many even shared the singer’s old videos, talking about his ‘alter ego’ going about killing people and him playing a detective “solving crimes that I am committing myself.”Police reports state that Celeste went ‘missing’ back in 2023, when she was just 13. She had since made several appearances in D4vd’s posts and live social media feed.

About the case

Earlier reports revealed that LAPD had searched a home near the location where the Tesla was abandoned and seized some electronic devices and other objects from the house. D4vd, a rising music star, has not yet been formally named as a suspect, nor has he been taken into custody. The singer has reportedly cancelled his tours in the US and UK, and has also been dropped from appearances in Australia.
