The 53rd International Emmy Awards unveiled its nominations on Thursday, with titles from across the globe earning a spot on the list.The crime dramedy ‘Ludwig’, the 1980s-set British drama ‘Rivals’, the ambitious adaptation of ‘100 Years of Solitude, the hit kids’ animated series ‘Bluey’, and the Indian biopic ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ were among the standout nominees.The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced a total of 64 nominations across 16 categories, representing a record 26 countries. ‘Ludwig’ emerged as a frontrunner with nominations for Best Comedy and Best Actor for David Mitchell’s performance. ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, chronicling the life and tragic death of the iconic Punjabi singer, secured nods for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series as well as Best Actor for Diljit Dosanjh. Meanwhile, ‘Rivals’ landed in the Best Drama category, and the Colombian series 100 Years of Solitude notched a Best Actor nomination for Diego Vasquez.
