Mahesh Bhatt breaks silence on working with Anu Malik after ‘me too’ allegations on him: ‘The National Commission of Women has said…’ | Hindi Movie News

Mahesh Bhatt breaks silence on working with Anu Malik after 'me too' allegations on him: 'The National Commission of Women has said...'

Mahesh Bhatt is back as a writer with ‘Tu Meri Poori Kahani’. He has written the film, which is directed by debutant Suhrita Das. The film’s music has been composed by Anu Malik who makes his comeback to the movie music scene after a while. The ace composer had ‘me too’ allegations on him, post which, he was not getting any work. In a recent interview, Bhatt has opened up on working with him. Bhatt was asked about working with a ‘me too’ accused and he said during an interview with NDTV, “It was Vikram Bhatt who is the producer of the film who said that let’s make a love story. So, I asked who will make the music. I felt that Anu and me had done brilliant work in ‘Phir Teri Kahaani Yaad Aayi’. I felt that he had gone through the winter of his life. That was the best time to tap on to the heart of a person who has gone through winter because it is in winter that lights the fire in you.”

He further added, “As far as the ‘me too’ question is concerned, there is a version out there in the public space but the answer he has given to me and what he has repeatedly said to me is that, National Commission Of Women has categorically said in black and white that there is no evidence found against him. But you can ask the lady next to me about working with him.” Director Suhrita Das who was next to him, said. “There were two women working with him on this, me and our writer, lyricist Shweta Bothra. We call him Malik Da. He was working on Rakhee festivities and by the end of it, he said, this is my gift to my two sisters. I can only say from my experience that I’ve been with a true human being and a person who is driven by his work and he doesn’t understand anything than the madness of music. He’s a very kind human being.” ‘Tu Meri Poori Kahani’ is releasing in theatres today, September 26.
